US Marine Corps awards Raytheon $49.8 million

(Reston, 20.10.2010) Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC (RTSC), a subsidiary of Raytheon Company, has received a $49.8 million contract to re-manufacture, overhaul and repair equipment primarily for the U.S. Marine Corps Logistics Command (MCLC) in Albany, Ga. Additional work will be performed in MCLC, Barstow, Calif.; Camp Pendleton, Calif.; Camp Lejeune, N.C.; and Okinawa, Japan.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract is a re-compete of the Secondary Reparables, or SECREPS, program. Raytheon was the incumbent. The new contract, with one base year and four one-year options, began Oct. 1, 2010, and ends Sept. 30, 2015, if all options are exercised. The base-year value is $49.8 million, and the contract ceiling value with options exercised is $249 million.

"Raytheon has provided secondary reparable services for the U.S. Marine Corps since 2002 and offers the leadership, processes and tools needed to support our brave Marines," said Bill Toti, vice president of RTSC's Mission Support Operations. "We understand the Marine Corps' mission and anticipate that demands on equipment readiness, resulting from current conflicts, will require innovative customer support, product reliability and best-value solutions."
