(17.10.2011) Roke Manor Research is part of the Team Mercury industry consortium that has been awarded a contract to deliver the Ministry of Defence’s I3M programme.
In the initial phase Roke is leading on the development of the user interface including the human factors related design and associated training needs analysis for I3M.
The Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) Information Integration and Management (I3M) Programme will provide the ISTAR community with a common, interoperable capability to enable the coherent, integrated and effective Collection, Processing and Dissemination of information and intelligence (i2).
The core capability will provide users, initially on two classified defence fixed communications infrastructures, across the Defence Command structure with a tool to support management of information requests to support Intelligence Requirements Management (IRM) and ISTAR Collection Management (CM) processes.
Team Mercury, comprises LMUK IS&GS Security as prime, IBM UK, Roke and Actica Consulting and will provide the MoD with an initial equipment delivery in September 2012 and the final equipment delivery in July 2013.
