GameTech 2010 sets its sights on Orlando

Team Orlando is to host the GameTech 2010, a three-day conference for users and developers focusing on game technology use for enhanced warfighter training.

The event also serves as an update on gaming and virtual world projects and trends within the military.

Running from March 29-31 at the Hilton in Orlando, Florida, the event features:

  • Exhibits from game/virtual world developers
  • Leading authorities in the military training and commercial game development such as:
    >> General John Mattis, Commander of Joint Forces Command
    >> Will Wright, creator of The Sims
    >> Major General Melvin Spiese, Commander of USMC Training and Education Command, and
    >> Larry Johnson, CEO of New Media Consortium
  • Introductory tutorials on virtual worlds and gaming
  • Two National Challenges/Competitions:
  • Federal Virtual Worlds Challenge
  • Innovations in DoD Gaming
