Lion Apparel says it has announced a concerted European sales strategy for its MT94 multi-threat CBRN (chem./bio/radiological/nuclear) protection garment.
This substantial American organisation has completed an expansive Q&A exercise around Europe to enable it to more clearly appreciate the exacting preferences and specific requirements of the European CBRN protection market. This data has led to the development of a series of new garments and the first to be revealed is a Europe-specific MT94; known as the " MiTE."
The MiTE blends the proven protection properties of the MT94 with new European design details to create one of the most versatile, lightweight, comfortable easy on/ easy off CBRN protection garments in Europe. Lion will formally unveil the MiTE at CBRNe Convergence 2009, World Forum Convention Centre, The Hague on October 28th - 30th. Other new garment development announcements to follow.
Appreciating that a growing number of military and civil first responders are choosing to purchase a selection of CBRN protective garments to leverage a full-range capability to meet a wealth of scenarios, Lion's MT94 and MiTE can greatly enhance an organisation's CBRN garment portfolio by providing one of the highest protection levels for any single layered garment on the market.
The garment delivers optimum protection integrity whilst making available highly convenient functionality, enhanced mobility and dexterity, permitting very fast donning (under 5 mins ) and doffing. The garment allows for a much greater range of unencumbered movement than a fully encapsulated garment, allowing the wearer to crawl, climb and run with significantly less restriction and physiological burden than other garment types.
Ideal for search and rescue operations and incident monitoring, the garment can be worn for up to four hours.
Highly compactable, it can be safely stored for up to 10 years, can be laundered 6 times, can be effectively decontaminated using typical HazMat wet decon methods. The garment has integral boots, WL Gore Chempak UB gloves and has been tested with a range of CBRN respirators.
