Lumo Builder upgraded for simulation packages

Re-Lion is supplying the Dutch Army with a specifically modified version of Lumo Builder to keep their simulation environments for VBS2, Steel Beasts Pro and the Saggitarius Small Arms Trainer up-to-date.

Modifications are made in a program known as 'NTP Landscape' that is financed by the Defence Material Organisation.

Landscape will enable instructors to take control over the simulation environment by providing an innovative, easy to use, human machine interface (HMI).

Landscape also standardizes the content generation pipeline for simulation environments within the Dutch Army and gives users the ability to get an overview of content already present within the organization.

The open architecture supports a wide range of simulator types, as training needs vary across the different units within the Dutch Army. Both geospecific as well as geotypical simulation environments can be maintained, with a high amount of detail outdoors and indoors.

TNO Defence, Security and Safety gather the user requirements, provide consultancy and support, deliver a prototype application for rapid creation of geotypical environment as a plug-in for Landscape and conduct the usability tests with the Dutch Army.
