UK MoD calls for 16,000 more Avon respirators
Avon Protection has received a contract from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) for over 16,000 of its S10 respirators.
Avon Rubber has supplied S10 respirators to the UK MoD since 1987. This order is additional to the three year contract announced earlier in 2009, further demonstrating the trust the MoD has in Avon and its products in protecting our troops now and in the future.
“This is fantastic news, and goes to prove just how much the MoD
relies and trusts Avon’s respirators in the harshest of threat
environments. Securing this additional contract award reinforces our
position as a key supplier of CBRNe equipment to the UK Ministry of
Defence and leading militaries around the world,” said Peter Slabbert,
